Bryn Mawr Community Church invites you to join us, as we celebrate the ordination of the church’s first class of women and men who have dedicated themselves to the special ministry of service, as described in Acts 6:1- 6 Deacons are called to “provide for and minister to the overlooked” members of the body of Christ. The ordination ceremony recognizes the spiritual preparation through Biblical study and prayer that each deacon has undertaken. The ceremony is also an opportunity for each deacon to publicly acknowledge his or her commitment to humbly and lovingly serve the body of Christ.
This is an exciting moment in the life of the Bryn Mawr Church community! This service will take place on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the church’s sanctuary. We invite you to join us for this time of acknowledgement of God’s ongoing grace and love toward us, as evidenced by these dedicated servants. In addition to your presence at the ordination we request your prayers and support as we accept this important responsibility.
